Let Your Neighbors Know...

Local peace activists are getting the message out against the war on Iraq. Republicans immediately began spinning the Nov. 5th election as a mandate for this war. Our goal is to let the area residents who may have serious doubts about the wisdom of Bush's plan know that they are NOT alone, in spite of what TV news may say.

Small Yard Signs

As of April 6, over 3000 yard signs have been distributed to neighborhoods and busy intersections throughout the KC metro area. Yard signs that read "War is Not the Answer", "No Iraq War" and "Support the Troops - No War" are now available for a small donation at the following locations:

> The weekly 4:00 p.m. Sunday vigil at the JC Nichols fountain in Kansas City (47th & Main).
> The weekly 1:00 p.m. Peace Rally at 119th and Roe
> It's A Beautiful Day store (3916 W. Broadway, Kansas City, MO) during business hours or call 816-931-6169
> American Friends Service Committee offices (4405 Gillham Road, Kansas City, MO) during business hours or call 816-931-5256

Large Anti-War Signs

Additionally, there are two 8 x 4-foot election signs available to post in your yard. The signs read:
> "Our 9/11 grief is NOT a cry for war."
> "Iraq isn't the threat! It's failing schools, economy, healthcare, environment"

"No War" buttons and "Attack Iraq? - NO!" bumperstickers are available at the weekly 4:00 p.m. Sunday vigil at the JC Nichols fountain in Kansas City (47th & Main).
