Vigil Protests in Kansas City, MO

As war with Iraq continues to be unquestioned by the majority of Americans, those opposed must speak out. We do not want our silence to indicate that we consent to this aggression.

Therefore, the KC Iraq Task Force has organized opportunities to take a public stance
against the war. In solidarity with Voices in the Wilderness, we will hold a 23-foot banner which reads "LET IRAQ LIVE" and pass out leaflets, witnessing to others that not all Americans
are hungry for war. Please join us.

Weekly Vigil Protest in Lawrence

When:     Every SATURDAY
(Sponsored by Lawrence Coalition for Peace and Justice)

Where:    Douglas County Courthouse, 11th and Massachusetts, Lawrence
When:     12:00 Noon
Contact: Allan Hanson hanson@ku.edu

Update (9/27/03): Thirty people were at the vigil today, the fifty-fifth consecutive Saturday. The good feeling of being among cheerful and like-minded souls remains strong. If you haven't done it for a while, try it again. It is a tonic for the spirit, and lord knows the issues we're raising haven't gone away!
