GET INVOLVED - Work for End to
Iraq War
Dear Iraq Peace Activists,
You can help assure a just future
and an end to the Iraq War! Can you devote just two hours, or four hours
a month for this goal?
The human and financial costs of the
Iraq war continue to mount. Over 1,500 U.S. soldiers have lost their
lives in Iraq. Over 100,000 Iraqi citizens are dead.
The Bush Administration is claiming
they are succeeding in spreading democracy in the Middle East. However,
they fail to comprehend that democracy cannot be won through the barrel
of a gun.
The death toll will continue to
mount; Anger towards the U.S. around the world will spread and escalate;
U.S. citizens will become more at risk of becoming victims of attacks;
And the U.S. economy, domestic social services, the quality of life for
the all but the super rich will disintegrate—until we create political
will to change our nation’s direction.
This is why we need you to step up
and play your part in the work of the Kansas City Iraq Task Force.
Task Force members are developing a
strategic plan, but we need you to make it work.
Please consider making a commitment
to our children, to our community, to our future by volunteering on the
Iraq Task Force..
Will you commit some time and
energy to the following areas of KC Iraq Task Force work?
(Please note areas in which you would be able to volunteer. A task force
member will contact you to discuss service and tasks involved.)
Thanks,
Kansas City Iraq
