February 16: Protest Against the War

Join with hundreds of concerned citizens from the Kansas City area, who oppose war with Iraq and want the U.S. government to pursue a peaceful resolution to the conflict. Hear speakers, poetry, and music at this special event. Free food will be provided by Food Not Bombs.

Speakers include: Yolanda Huet-Vaughn, a physician who was a conscientious objector during the Gulf War in 1991, which prompted a six-month prison sentence and almost led to revocation of her medical license. She continues to be active in the peace movement and today again protests the possible war against Iraq.
