Kansas City,
Missouri:
Join the "Protest Against the War"
Feb. 15 teach-In & Feb. 16 protest and

The January 18-19
Washington DC and San Francisco mobilization was a tremendous success but the
vision of stopping the war means we carry on the work here at home. Large

and 16, including New York, San Francisco...and KANSAS CITY. See
United for Peace for details on the

February 15:
"No To War!" Teach-In
A Day of Learning, Protest, and Solidarity. You've heard the case for war on Iraq from Bush and Blair, Fox and CNN. Now is
the chance to hear the other side--why we think this threatened war is wrong for
America, wrong for the world. We're presenting three panels with plenty of time
allotted for discussion from the audience. This event is free and open to the
public.

Protest Against the War
Join with hundreds of concerned citizens from the Kansas City area, who oppose
war with Iraq and want the U.S. government to pursue a peaceful resolution to
the conflict. Hear speakers, poetry, and music at this special event. Free food
will be provided by Food Not Bombs.
> Speakers include: Yolanda Huet-Vaughn, a physician who was a
conscientious objector during the Gulf War in 1991, which prompted a six-month
prison sentence and almost led to revocation of her medical license. She
continues to be active in the peace movement and today again protests the
possible war against Iraq.
